Glencoe Lochan Trail

This has been in my drafts since our camping trip in August last year. Just got round to posting now.

A place for reflection

Just outside Glencoe village, we stopped to stretch our legs. We walked around the peaceful Lochan Trail with a backdrop of pointed mountains and the mist rolling down. The trails wind through a landscape planted with North American trees by Lord Strathcona in the 1890s – he hoped they would comfort his homesick Canadian wife.
